According to 2 Kings 18:1-3, the young man Hezekiah was just twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem twenty-nine years. Of his reign, the scripture records … "He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, just as his father David had done."

There was a quality in the nature of this young man which pleased God; his acts were characterized by "doing what was right" -- not according to his opinion, but in the "eyes of God."
